ABOUT
After years of severe economic troubles that produced radical political movements urging for a stronger central government, it was clear that change was required for the United States to continue as a nation. And so, the Convention met for the first time in the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia to amend the Articles of Confederation. After months of debate, this convention resulted in the creation of the Constitution of the United States as we know today, but could the basic rules of our country have been different if another founding father got their way? In this committee, delegates will debate ferociously amongst each other and analyze amendments to the Articles of Confederation to create the Constitution of the United States!
Please submit all position papers to hcc.evermun@gmail.com by May 25th, 2024, at 11:59 PM. If you need an extension, you may request one from your dais. Remember that in order to be considered eligible for awards, you must submit a position paper.

Ananya Gupta
Director
Ananya Gupta is a freshman at International Community School and is ecstatic to serve as HCC’s Director at EVERMUN 2024! Ananya joined the MUN club at her school just because her friends were doing it, but soon found herself roped into the hectic yet invigorating world of debate. She loved the chaos of receiving (and writing) crazy candygrams, and the world-shaking madness of the horror only known as CRISIS UPDATES. When not found writing an ungodly amount of directives, Ananya can be found with her nose buried in a book, scrolling obsessively through Pinterest, or playing a crazy game of truth or dare with her friends in which the consequences have led her to hide out in the bathroom holding a big teddy bear (long story). Moreover, Ananya is elated to bring her enthusiasm to EVERMUN 2024!
Lucy Wheeler
Assistant Director
Lucy Wheeler is a sophomore at Eastlake High School and is very excited to be your Assistant Director on HCC! She fearlessly started her MUN journey freshman year and has had so much fun ever since lying awake during countless midnights tirelessly working to prepare position papers, bills, and researching her assigned country. She has absolutely been in love with the fast-paced environment MUN has created and she can not wait to staff EVERMUN 2024! Outside of the world of Model UN, Lucy can be found crocheting little animals she finds on Pinterest while listening to Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan! Overall, her main hope is for this amazing committee to have the reputation it deserves and she hopes everyone has an amazing time at EVERMUN 2024!
Veda Hiremath
Chair
Veda Hiremath is a freshman at Tesla STEM High School and is thrilled to be serving as your outstanding chair for EVERMUN 2024 HCC! Somehow stumbling into her middle school’s MUN club, Veda found herself being pulled into political debate and hysterical crisis situations. Through her journey of MUN conferences, she’s witnessed the start of a rock religion, Kanye III and Teresa Cook’s (Tim Cook’s imaginary daughter) wedding, and several nuclear threats that continue to enlighten her to this day. Other than her serious workload of homework and procrastination of position papers, Veda can be spotted fangirling over Attack on Titan, playing volleyball, tripping over air, or listening to her bipolar Spotify playlist. MUN provided a family for Veda and she continues to cherish it to this day and hopes she can introduce the same love she has for MUN to all the delegates attending EVERMUN 2024!
